I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you!
We’ve just secured a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant in partnership with Gavilan College, including UCLA and UPenn as research partners. This funding will allow us to develop and implement the innovative Circle of Champions Network (www.myCircleofChampions.com) at Gavilan College, with the goal of closing or narrowing the Hispanic STEM gap.
NSF is investing $14.5 Million dollars in programs that are groundbreaking and designed to support transformative projects that advance innovative, evidence-based practices at two-year colleges nationwide, particularly in STEM education. We are honored to be one of those programs.
Our Circle of Champions Network is set to make a significant impact, and we’re starting with a focus on California’s Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) community colleges. This is just the beginning, as our model is designed to be scalable and replicable at other HSIs.
If your institution is interested in being part of the Circle of Champions Network, I would love to discuss how we can collaborate. Please feel free to reach out to me directly.
Join us on this journey to ensure the success of Latina/o students in STEM and to create a brighter future for all. The journey is better together!
