Acknowledgment of Guidelines

By registering as a Champion, I confirm that I’ve reviewed the Champions’ Guidelines for Success and the materials at https://www.mycircleofchampions.com/starting-your-journey. I agree to do my best to follow these Guidelines and to let the Champion Coordinator know if I can no longer serve as a Champion.

 

Champions’ Course

By completing registration with the Circle of Champions, I understand that I am consenting to be enrolled in a noncredit, no-cost course(s) offered through one of the following partner community colleges: Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education or Gavilan College. I give permission for My Circle of Champions to share my registration information with the college only for the purpose of processing my enrollment in the course. I understand that the college may contact me to confirm my enrollment.

 

Champions Participation 

As a registered student of Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education or Gavilan College, I acknowledge that Canvas will be used as the primary learning management system for the course, to maintain regular and substantive interaction to meet the student learning outcomes of the course per the course outline of record. Champions who do not interact with the course content on a regular basis may be dropped from the course for the current term, but will not be dropped from the Circle of Champions platform.

 

Summer 2025 Course (Retroactive Consent)

If I was a Champion during Summer 2025, I understand that I was enrolled in a noncredit, no-cost Circle of Champions course offered by Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education. By completing this registration, I provide my retroactive consent for My Circle of Champions to share my registration and participation information with the college solely for the purpose of processing and documenting that enrollment. I understand that this course carries no fees, no credit, and that I may contact the college if I have any questions about my enrollment record (https://sac.edu/sce/Pages/default.aspx).

 

Certification of Accuracy and Conduct

I confirm that all information I provided during registration is true and accurate. I agree to follow all student conduct and continuing education policies of the college where I’m enrolled. I understand that if I don’t already have a CCCID (California Community Colleges student ID), one will be created for me.

 

Privacy and Information Sharing

I understand that under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), colleges may share limited student information with trusted vendors who help operate the program. These vendors are considered “School Officials” and are only allowed to use the information to support the college’s educational mission.

 

Limitation of Liability

I understand that My Circle of Champions, JourneyGPS, and their partners do their best to make this program meaningful and safe. I agree that they are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or unexpected damages that might result from my participation. If there is ever a legal claim, I agree that the most I could recover would be the amount I paid for the program (which is normally offered at no cost).

 

Dispute Resolution

If there’s ever a disagreement about these Terms or my participation in the program, I agree to first try to resolve it directly and informally with JourneyGPS. If that doesn’t work, I agree that any unresolved issue will be handled through binding arbitration in Riverside County, California, following the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). I also agree not to join or start any class action or group lawsuit related to this program.

 

Changes to These Terms

I understand that My Circle of Champions may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law or program operations. The latest version will always be posted at https://www.mycircleofchampions.com. By continuing to participate after any updates, I agree to the new Terms.
