Questions About My Circle of Champions
My Circle of Champions is a support network designed to help students succeed in their academic journey. Each Circle includes one student and several Champions who provide encouragement, guidance, and perspective as the student navigates college and career decisions.
Many students—particularly first-generation college students—come from communities with people who care deeply about them but may lack college experience and know-how. As a result, students may receive limited guidance when applying for college, choosing courses, securing financial aid, planning careers, and navigating college systems. An engaged Circle of Champions helps fill these gaps and supports stronger academic outcomes.
A Champion’s role is to stay informed about a student’s academic journey and provide encouragement, guidance, and support. Champions may help emotionally, share relevant experiences, ask thoughtful questions, or offer practical advice depending on their background and relationship with the student.
Champions are encouraged to stay engaged with the student’s updates, communicate through the Circle platform, offer encouragement when appropriate, and respect student privacy and confidentiality.
