This week’s student reflection highlights an important shift: Asking for help is not a last resort, it is a strength.
After completing the Circle of Champions assignment, one student shared that their perspective changed. At the beginning of the quarter, they believed support was something you seek only in emergencies. Through reflection, they began to see that community is not just there for difficult moments, but is an essential part of growth.
“Thinking about the different ‘champions’ in my life made me see that reaching goals isn’t something you’re supposed to do alone. Community doesn’t just make things easier; it actually makes you stronger.”
The assignment encouraged them to reconnect with their Champions, recognize how much they are believed in, and gain clarity around their academic and STEM goals.
At My Circle of Champions, we create intentional space for students to reflect on their support systems, strengthen those relationships, and move forward with confidence. When students understand that they are supported, their determination is reinforced and their goals feel more attainable.
The journey is better together.
