We spoke with Mia, a STEM student at Gavilan College, and asked:
“Do you feel the program has changed your mindset toward your academic goals?”
Her answer was honest and moving. Mia shared that My Circle of Champions helped shift her mindset from one filled with fear and self-doubt to one that’s more open and confident.
She admitted that at first, she was scared—but having a support system made all the difference. Knowing she wasn’t alone gave her the courage to say yes to new opportunities and believe in herself.
