As we continue sharing stories from Gavilan College, we sat down with Nancy, a student in the My Circle of Champions network, who offered a unique perspective on how the program’s AI feature is making an impact.

She shared that one of the most meaningful parts of the experience has been the way the AI regularly checks in and asks reflective questions like:

“Have you done anything new or accomplished something recently?”

Nancy told us that taking a moment to pause and reflect on her own growth made her feel accomplished—something that often gets overlooked in the rush of academic life.

It’s a small feature with a big impact: reminding students of their progress, celebrating wins, and encouraging self-awareness.
